How do you handle it .....................?

My 8 yr old isn't quite that dependent but has special needs. Your best bet is to send her to a summer camp that is for special needs kids. My son attends one that is mostly a gov't grant so its very inexpensive 250 dollars for two weeks 9-5. Whatever her dx, try networking in your area. My son its autism so I look on our autism chapter that has all the possible therapies, camps, doctors that parents of autistic kids frequent.
