I am trying to track down information about a doll maker?

I had several dolls in the late 80's/early 90's and I have no idea how to locate them. It was from an American doll maker, and I had 4; Jane Eyre (in a wedding dress), Princess and the Pea (came with multicoloured satin matresses and a purse of peas) , The little Mermaid (not the disney one! She was in blue dress, with netting and seashells) and a doll named "jenny" that was in a blue dress with a pink apron. I know this is a total shot in the dark, and no, they were not made by M. Alexander.
