Help with TGE HB500 MP4 skipping through songs?

We bought our Granddaughter this MP4 - We are having no problems downloading songs however we cannot get the thing to stay on 1 song to be played all the way through - it just keeps on scrolling through the music. Any help would be appreciated. The instructions or disk which came with the player does not address this problem.
